Episode Breakdown:
Synopsis:
The story kicks off with Arie returning home to add more ink to his body and take on a few hot sauces. Meanwhile, Todd dives deeper into gaming, testing his skills on “Biomutant.” As always, we bring the heavy with craft beer and metal news! Speaking of brews, Todd comes full circle with an ale worthy of an “Austin Anthem” while Arie has a hazy relocation of his time in Lake City. His version of events get a little twisted after one too many “Ale N Vasion” Hazy IPAs. In the metal world, there’s a murmur of a new “Bad Wolves” frontman, we share a couple Brewtal alumni updates, as well as more upcoming tours and festivals, and lastly, we run through new albums and songs to jam! Our featured band has a tight grip on reality and is notorious for one punching King Kong square in the face. They’re certainly no disgrace to the scene and may just get violent if dropped in water, so watch out! You wouldn’t want to turn a king into a tyrant!
Featured Band:
This week's episode features Tyrant from Reality Grip.
Bio:
Reality Grip is Godzilla in the fucking flesh. The culmination of a black hole collapsing and the planet being hit with a meteor. Fight riffs, immeasurably heavy breakdowns, and a wall of sound thick enough to split the planet in half. Reality Grip has only one mission....Arrive, wreck everything, and return still Kings amongst Kings. Also we are all dads and goofy as shit and we don't take ourselves to seriously lol we just want everyone to catch a felony at our shows!
Our EP is slated to come out at the end of 2021
What Reality Grip is Drinking:
Our favorite beer styles are Gose for sure, but our vocalist Jesse who runs his own beer review show, the Trench bros podcast, is a DDH IPA fan and Stout fanatic!
